Crested Hair Grass (Koeleria macrantha)
Ref: HAIRCREST
Crested Hair-grass is usually grown for its shape and form, rather than any sort of agricultural fodder value. It develops upright panicles which stand out among other grasses, going on to form puple spikelets. More often found on calcareous soils. Among other stronger grasses, it often gets pushed out.
